This Elephant Was Looking For Help, And He Got IT

Smart Elephant. They don't forget either. Maybe a friendship was formed?

Bad shooting by less than capable poachers! And this guys ivory is not very big!

Intelligent animals, never cease to amaze me !

i hope he recovers fully and lives a long life.would also be nice if he could kabab the scumbag or bags that shot him.

Incredible story. I hope the poachers came off second.

While I'm glad the elephant was helped, I can't help but notice that once again people are electing to name these animals in an effort to humanize them more. In this case, "Ben," got his name after this incident occurred. Now, if Ben the beloved elephant is ever shot in the future, there will of course be massive outrage.

"Ben, named after the individual who treated him first..."

Elephants are majestic, wonderful creatures. But they're not humans or pets. They're wild animals and they probably don't need names...

I really don't think they are humanizing the elephant, just think it's easier to refer to him as Ben, eaxample..."has anyone seen the wounded elephant lately compared to has Ben been seen lately."

I truly hope they don't try make him an icon, as you saying.

trperk1, I bought the Kimber Caprivi 375 back in an earlier post. You attached a target with an impressive three rounds touching 100 yards. I took the 2x10 VX5 off and put a VX6 HD Gen 2 1x6x24 Duplex Firedot on the rifle. It's definitely a shooter curious what loads you used for the group. Loving this rifle so fun to shoot. Africa 2026 Mozambique. Buff and PG. Any info appreciated.

Hello:
I’ll take the .375 Whitworth for $1,150 if the deal falls through.
Thanks .
