I hunted elephant with Tsala this year. We saw well over 200 elephant during my time there. On day 8 we saw many large elephant in a large herd (well over 100 elephant) on the Gonarezhou side of the river waiting to cross into Moz. There were several 60+ pounders and some much larger. I was fortunate enough to take the elephant below the following morning. I highly recommend Tsala and the Save Valley of Mozambique for numbers and size of elephant. Tsala will also provide great hunting experience.

This statement cannot be emphasized enough! Any time you get to hunt the border of Gonarezhou, you are in excellent positioning for potential bull of a lifetime. There are incredible bulls in that area...some of the biggest in Africa without question. To hunt that for mid-30k is fantastic. If you can just hold your fire long enough, you could see a bull of a lifetime.

Completely agree you could take an excellent heavy ivory bull. For mid 30’s incredible deal!!!! You would just have to send tusks to Collets to have the identical look and weight for each one made given you cannot import to US from there. Hopefully that will change one day

Good Day Safari 1

We did one elephant hunt this year and it weighed 60 pounds and some change on the big tusk.Pics on the tread above. We only get two trophy elephant permits per year.

We only acquired the area at the start of 2024 on a 99 year lease. The area has not been hunted for a few years. Our anti poaching team is on the ground daily with good reports on elephant movement. We had a few very successful buffalo hunts this year and good feed back from hunters about the area.

The blocks to our south have been hunted for a few years now and there are reports of 80 pounders plus that have been hunted.I have personally seen elephants and pictures of Ele's in that range.

Gonarezhou is after all " the place of the Elephant "

Regards

Rouan

Yes there are a few Taxidermy that will do very realistic replicas like Collets and Bulls Eye in South Africa and I am sure in the US or Europe. The tusk can also be stored and you never know it might become importable in the future.

Looks like a great deal for a possible large tusker, but I'm very turned off by Mozambique $700 per gun rifle permit when they get a significant 100% upcharge in "license and government fees"
This leaves the outfitter on the hook with low profit margin and significant long term financial risk!
If this trend continues hunting, outfitters, and wildlife will suffer.

I booked this hunt for July 2025, can't wait
Good luck and look forward to hearing about your trip. I’d like to hunt elephant in 26 or 27 and will be watching this one if still available in those dates ranges

Everyone always thinks about the worst thing that can happen, maybe ask yourself what's the best outcome that could happen?

Do you have any cull hunts available? 7 days, daily rate plus per animal price?
