Today our Trophys arrived at Knights Taxidermy in Anchorage.!! Whoohoo, happy dance happy dance!
Knights called me last night and said they had my crate in their possession at the shop, and they wanted me to be there to open it and inspect everything. And to make sure it was all there...
So I took the day off from work and Jacob, my father-in law, and I drove to Anchorage. Knights had the crate waiting for us. I unscrewed the lid and we carefully unpacked each and every piece and accounted for all of it. Everything was perfect. The Wildebeest skulls still had a little grease on the bottom sides and Knights is going to finish them up for us. I am going to walk pedistal Jacobs Blesbok and shoulder mount my Kudu. Everything else is going to be euro mounts and tan the hides for leather item to be be determined later.
Mike Smith at Capricorn Taxidermy did an excellent job with all the dip, pack and coordinating the shipping. It all took just over 9 months which was just fine with me since I wasn't in a hurry and give me a chance to to save some money to pay the bill.
Anyway here are a few pics I took today...
