USA: Hunting Javelina in Arizona

I shot both of them with a Hornady 200 grain spire point over 24 grains of IMR4227 powder. The powder load is .4 of a grain over the maximum that is listed but I had no problem with in out of my 14" barrel on my TC. My crono said that it was right around 1845 fps. Both elk were under 100 yards.

I haven't shot that load or even that round for so long I am going to have to fire up the reloading press here this spring and run some out along with my favorite load with a Speer 158 gr soft point if I can find some bullets. If not I'll come up with something new out of it.

Since I got my 7-30 Waters barrel all the rest of the barrels that I have for it have become safe queens.

Thanks JimP. I'm head back to RSA in 2018 with only one animal on my wish list for a 10-day hunt. Priority will be animals/experience for a 1-legged, blind, friend of mine wounded some years back. Might be a good chance for me to 'blood' my TC.

On a CO note, I graduated Colorado State in '88, my folks live in Loveland, and my son graduated CO School of Mines in '15 and works near there now. I'm headed back to CO this Summer for fly fishing with my father and son this Summer.

trperk1, I bought the Kimber Caprivi 375 back in an earlier post. You attached a target with an impressive three rounds touching 100 yards. I took the 2x10 VX5 off and put a VX6 HD Gen 2 1x6x24 Duplex Firedot on the rifle. It's definitely a shooter curious what loads you used for the group. Loving this rifle so fun to shoot. Africa 2026 Mozambique. Buff and PG. Any info appreciated.

Hello:
I’ll take the .375 Whitworth for $1,150 if the deal falls through.
Thanks .
