Used Cars in America

America has always had a thing for 8’s. Here they’re always been reserved for the performance or luxury options of vehicles rather than just run of the mill car.
You sir, have no idea how right you are! Inline ("Straight-8") and V-8, plus V-12's and even V-16's graced the highways and racetracks of 100 years ago. Of course, only the wealthy could afford such an automobile.

As a fan of vintage vehicles I believe I know just how right I am ;)
Like the Packard Twin-6 (a teen year V12), Cadillac 452 (V16 that sold alright during the depression years).
And Ford bringing the v8 to the masses in 1932.
Straight 8’s stayed til the early 50’s.
It’s all great stuff :)

Oh and I think Marmon had a V16 also.
