Located in Montana. Looking for a 7x57/.275 Rigby. Looking at around $2k ish budget. Don’t want or need a museum piece or exquisite wood. Willing to go more for the right gun or less for the right gun.

For plus or minus cash trade I have an unfired Ruger #1 .300 H&H.

So what I’m looking for is a 7x57:
Zkk600.
1. Set flat trigger preferred but not necessary.
2. Straight or very low comb stock, not one of the gaudy 70s high comb garish ones. 3. Don’t care if it has a pop up peep as I will never use it.
4. Must still have iron sights.
5. Would be awesome to find one marked Bauska Arms as the importer, likewise many had straight rather than curved bolts.

A custom Mauser.
1. Iron sights
2. Straight bolt. I don’t care for the look of swept back bolts, a straight down bend looks much better to me.

Lastly a Ruger M77. Would love to find a Lipseys African .275 but they’re rare as hens teeth.

Anyone has one shoot me a message! Thank you all

Have you considered buying a used m77 from a local store/pawn shop and having it rebarreled? You would probably come in way under $2k. There are lots of older 270s and 30-06s out there in need of second life.

There's one of the Lipsey's on GI for $3500ish. One of them sold on GB at no reserve for around $2500 recently.

I have a Remington Classic that was refinished w new recoil pad that is really nice in a 7x57 if interested, was brand new just refinished to give it a better look

Thats what I did - picked up a JC Higgins model 50 ( FN Supreme action mauser ) and rebarreled it to 7X57 mauser. Put a set of remington sights on it and I am happy with the outcome.

I just bought another ZKK-600 on GB for under $500 with plans to rebarrel to 7x57 and restock. I was bidding on the one that ThreeJacks mentioned above (it was an original 7x57) but gave up once it went over $1700.

Problem with rebarreling a M77 or ZKK in another caliber is that will put it over $2,000, which means I may as well buy one in said caliber. Not to mention finding a gunsmith willing or able to install sights and a banded sling mount is dang hard.

I was bidding on that ZKK with the popup peep but quit when it went over $1600. Im sure the peep is what drove the sight up. In the last year theres been 4-6 ZKK's in 7X57 between 900 and 1400, I've just managed to miss out on them for various circumstances.

The Lipseys one I missed, I had planned to bid $2400. Probably would have been outbid anyway. I like them but to me they're not $3500 guns, I can get into custom mausers for that price. If I could get one $2400 or less is where I am wanting to be.

Appreciate the suggestions, and apologize for the delay, just been busy and unable to get online for a day or so. No biggy, just figured someone around here may have something they've been deliberating on listing and I'd try to get onto it before it is listed!

I have the same opinion on the Lipsey 275 Rigby rifles, if I am going to spend $3000+ I can get a much nicer rifle for the same money or a little more. I found and bought a Cz 550 7x57 for under $1000 with a scope, but they do not have the sights or barrel band.

trperk1, I bought the Kimber Caprivi 375 back in an earlier post. You attached a target with an impressive three rounds touching 100 yards. I took the 2x10 VX5 off and put a VX6 HD Gen 2 1x6x24 Duplex Firedot on the rifle. It's definitely a shooter curious what loads you used for the group. Loving this rifle so fun to shoot. Africa 2026 Mozambique. Buff and PG. Any info appreciated.

Hello:
I’ll take the .375 Whitworth for $1,150 if the deal falls through.
Thanks .
