Hello All,

I am looking for 2x reloading die sets in .416 Taylor. I have contacted most of the big names / usual sources but no luck.

The sets can be new or used, as long as they are in a fair condition. Would much appreciate any assistance with this.

I am based in South Africa, but I also have a delivery address in the USA. So happy to buy from anywhere.

Regards,
Lourens

Thanks. I have ordered those Lee ones of Amazon a few months ago, and when they arrived they turned out to be 6.5-300 Weatherby sets. There seems to be a problem with the labelling on that SKU....

CH does make them, but no stock currently.

This is correct, they share the same part number with the 6.5-300 Wby. Its safe to assume that any advertised new 416 Taylor dies from Lee are actually 6.5-300 Wby

I did the same and responded that the order was wrong. Amazon sent me a second set that was also 6.5-300. Buyer be aware!

I discovered this a while back, looked at pictures of the brass, that’s not 416 Taylor!

Wish some company, Redding,RCBS or others would make a run of 416 Taylor dies again

Want to build another one.

Yeah, I don’t get it. When you look at Redding’s website, they have every obscure wildcat cartridge dies known or unknown to man listed except NOW the SAAMI spec .416 Taylor. They used to, because I bought my set of Taylor dies from them about four years ago.

...Check Midway. They show Hornady Custom Grade 2-die set .416 Taylor $73.99

Redding says their customer order and they only had a resizing die, but no seating die.

So I believe if they get an order and have to set up the tooling to make the dies, then they ago ahead and make a few sets of dies and leave them on the warehouse shelf unadvertised but available.

I was able to buy a set of .330 Dakota dies and forming die from them a couple months ago and that’s the only reasoning I can come up with for them having 2 sets of .330Dakota dies sitting on the shelf…..which is a custom order caliber

Unfortunately, I also did the say thing. Bet Lee is selling a lot of 6.5-300 die and wondering why?

Take a screen shot of those and post it here if you can, because I just looked at both Midway and Hornady websites and the .416 Taylor isn't mentioned anywhere.

...OOPS! Discontinued. This was, obviously, an old advertisement. I Googled .416 Taylor and this ad was one of the selections. Sorry.

Back in the day (1987) I purchased my .416Taylor from RCBS. I suspect now that there are more factory choices for 40 cal nobody is manufacturing new dies for the Taylor.

Chopped up the whole thing as I kept hitting the 240 character limit...
