Hello everyone,

I am new to AfricaHunting.com and was referred by Mr. Wayne from AHR to join and ask around for this beast of a rifle.

I am a big bore collector and am looking to complete my A-Square collection with an original 577 Tyrannosaur. If anyone has one, or know of anyone who is looking to part with one, please let me know as I’m a serious buyer!

Thank you to everyone in advance.

This one is available for $14,000 plus shipping

Ouch

Nice rifle, but also not an A square. I recommend having one built to exactly what you want. It's fun and engaging!!

Not an A-Square?????? I have owned 7 different A-Square rifles, and 4 were original A-Square 577 T-Rex. I sold 3 of them and kept this one. It is absolutely an original A-Square 577 T-Rex.

I also own a rare A-Square Deluxe in 416 Hoffman that was custom built by Art Alphin for Hoffman.

I know jack about A square 577 Trex but why do they not have checkering?

Most A-Square rifles were Big Bore with heavy recoil. Art felt that you can get a more positive grip on a smooth surface. Although you could get checkering on custom order guns, like my -Square Deluxe in 416 Hoffman.

Cool makes sense I can only imagine the recoil and torque of such a rifle with full power loads......my 500 Jeff is a peashooter in comparison but can also be authoritive when you start loading it above 2300fps.....I topped out at 2450fps with 570 gr bullets......that was wild and recovery time for second shot was not good.

Cool rifles.! There was one that came through here some 20 yrs ago - with some ASquare ammo. I managed to pickup a round for my ammo collection and one for a friend's collection. It's the first round folks gravitate towards when I open that case ;)
Cheers!

Several videos on You Tube. Most are shooting Saaed's gun at his indoor range.

Hello all,

Only 12 original A-Square T-Rex rifles were made for the U.S. market. In the last couple of years one sold at auction for over $16,000, and another sold for over $26,000. (see links below) I offered mine for sale for only $14,000 - and it sold - he said ......

"...The pricing and package is more than fair. I agree and accept the terms...."

But, the buyer backed out the day after he said he would send payment. First time in my life I had a gun back out of a commitment ... So mine is up for sale again. PM for more info.

Also available for additional is a package deal which includes: Quick-Detachable Leupold M8-2x Ext "Scout-Mounted" scope, reloading dies, brass, bullets, and a box of original A-Square T-Rex Factory ammo.

this one sold for $16,250

Nice, I'll bet that is bitter/sweet.
Yes it is very bitter-sweet. These T-Rex rifles are so very rare, that I'll never have a chance to buy another one.

I was pestered for 2 weeks to sell it, and I finally caved-in to let it go. This was a very difficult decision to reach, but I thought I was helping an A-Square collector to give it a new home. And then ... the guy backed out the day after he was to send pmt. I am 73 years old and I have been dealing with guns for over 53 years - This was the first time that I had a gun guy back out of a commitment.

In the end, all is well. I sold it for over 2K more (on a different site) than I had offered it for sale here.
