Photo is of an FN action with a two position Wisner safety. i have had this rifle on dozens of hunts, mostly involving a lot of climbing in the Rocky & Cascade mountains. I find it to be a very workable, reliable and trouble free safety. The primary advantage I see to the mid position of a safety is to cycle the action with the safety on, which I lose with the two position safety- so I'm very careful when loading/unloading and of course, I don't use the rifle as a club.
