lol yes 16yrs old landing in 1978 Oz (no passport back then needed) with a 270Win BSA in a vinyl zip bag then bus to Kingscross then buy a EH Holden wagon next day & off to the NT is a whole story took many different turns & longer than I thought, it is a long way now but much farther back then if you know what I mean, roads were super bad or nonexistent, Road Trains pulling 4 or more trailers back then, swaying across the whole road, if it had rained & up moved off the road (to stay alive) you were stuck for a where !
