If a hunter is about to buy an R8, he is also probably a collector of a variety of rifles. I’d be curious to know how many rifles the average person has before adding an R8 to the gun cabinet?? (I’d venture at least a dozen or more.)
@Tra3
You are close to the point!
I dont know any blaser r8 owner, that has only that rifle.
Also I cannot imagine purhcasing an R8 by novice or total begginer - this is hard to explain. But it is remote possibilty
It looks like a hunter, a rifleman, must evolve to that level of appreciation and understanding.
I have passed a milestone of "dozen", and still do not have any straight pull.
But also, what I dont have is:
Pump action, and lever action. Havent found the need for this yet. But I admit they have apeal.
In long guns I have, in variety of calibers, one or more of following:
Break action
Semi auto with rotational bolt system, gas operated
push feed
CRF sako
CRF mauser
rim fires.
If it ever happens that my country bans semi auto rifles, most probably my next choice will be straight pull, as a substitute for my semi. (Obviously it sounds as a step back from semi auto, not as evolution for further upgrade of inventory, in my reasoning, and I will have to work on this , mea culpa, mea maxima culpa)
