What did you reload today?

I would crimp that 22 hornet that recoil in the magazine could be ferocious. :ROFLMAO:
@Frederik
May need a muzzle brake and mercury recoil reducer as well. Don't forget the past recoil pad for the shoulder to go with it.
Bob

I reloaded a P-Mag yesterday while testing an AR that I recently aseembled; does that count? ;-)

I need to get back on the bench soon and finish working up a ladder for my 375 H&H that is in-progress, as well as get out and test of ladder of 308 Norma Magnum that is sitting on the bench. I might as well do another round of 25-06 and 7x57 while I'm at it.
@cash_tx
In your 25-06 try 54 gn of H4350 with a 100gn TTSX for 3,400fps. Shoots flat for a long ways out.
Bob

I’ve got 1,000 .22 Hornet brass prepped and waiting for RJ Renner to finish his magic on my No 1 in said caliber.
@WAB
Have you tried lil gun in your hornet. By all reports it's the go to. Great velocity, lower pressure and accurate to boot
Bob

Not sure how to answer this question or exactly what you are asking. The loudness of the shot is minimized with the suppressor. The recoil is stout but not so much as to cause a flinch such as a .300 WinMag and 200 gr bullet unsuppressed might give. I definitely will not being seeing my shot impacts, if that is what you are wondering.
Burning 72,5 grains of H1000 through a 18.5 inches barrel is a receipe for a great ball of fire! The suppressor probably minimize that.

Just finished the last batch for my upcoming trip to Zimbabwe!

I've got a new Ruger Hawkeye Hunter 30-06 and need to break it in :)

I'm deflowering some virgin brass with H-4350 and 150 gr Hornady Interlocks at medium-high velocity. I'll shoot about 50 over the next few days, then use the once-fired brass and work up some more preferred hunting loads...

I'm switching to Lil Gun for better load densities. An engineer friend ran some QuickLOAD numbers and recommended that to me.

Finally got my new T/C Encore barrel from EABCO. So I loaded up some 150 grain Barnes TTSX to break it in and see if this load is as accurate in this rifle as my Ruger#1. Adjust as necessary since this rifle will head to Prince Of Wales island for blacktail deer in November.

Interesting that you would say that, Bob. I was just looking at those bullets at my local gun store today, thinking they would make for an absolute death ray in the 25-06. Once I work through the 100 or so Nosler 100gr Ballistic Tips I have on hand, I'll probably switch to the TTSX's. I know the H4350 is great in this caliber, but I'm sitting on 8 pounds of IMR 4350 that I need to work through as well. It's a fine powder that is producing great results in most of the calibers in using it in. Cheers, mate!

@Bill J H
Try working up to a stout load of 60gn of H4350 behind a 150 for 3,000 fps. That should give you all the grunt you will ever need.

@Green Chile
12.5 to 13.5 gn of lil gun behind a 40gn VMax will give you a great little load to reach out to past 200 yds.
Just work up carefully the Hornet is only a little case so go up in .1 gn increments.

The 100gn ballistic tips are useless in my 25. They don't even reach the 100yd target. I suppose 3,600+ fps is a bit quick for them.
Another great bullet in the 25-06 is the 117gn SST at 3,000 fps

Bob, I gained a 25-06 barrel for my second Encore. I happened across H4831 SC and will be testing that out first. But damned if I didn't already have H4350 around. I'll try this out too, for my 300 WM. Thanks

H4831sc/2213sc is great in the 25-06 with heavier bullets like the 110 to 120 grainers. To slow for lighter projectiles.
If'n y'all want to have fun try some 75 grainers at 3,600 fps for discombooberating little critters into flying bits and pieces. Not meat friendly on rabbits even with head shots.

Hmm, would a longer barrel advantage of the slower powder? T/C made my barrel in 28" for the Pro Hunter I have.

Hi Jay,

Hope you're well.

I'm headed your way in January.

Attending SHOT Show has been a long time bucket list item for me.

Finally made it happen and I'm headed to Vegas.

I know you're some distance from Vegas - but would be keen to catch up if it works out.

Have a good one.

Mark
