What do you think of the new Rigby Shikari?

The fences look like VC's Round Body ..

I went with me three friends who also ordered and got fitted in Oct. We take delivery of 5 Shikari in March.

The most expensive pair of cufflinks you've ever bought :ROFLMAO:

I enjoyed your chat with Marc on the podcast. (y)

Kevin, here is my sincere reply to your question. I saved and bought a Blaser R8 pro as I am left handed. I LOVE a fantastic grade of wood stock, but I hunt and want to hunt as much as I can afford. I am not the target audience for that rifle. I prefer my switch barrel grunt gun. I just want to hunt, meet people and have experiences within my budget.

You should bought an NEF Handi Rifle... you could have hunted even more.

I ordered and received my double rifle years ago so I am out of the loop on the purchasing process.

Do the current makers do initial fitting upon order and then give you the opportunity to shoot the rifle in the white and make adjustments to gun fit, point of aim, balance etc?

This version on the Pro Tactical Australia Instagram looks really nice, I thought they would look plainer, might this kind of deep carved engraving be some sort of special edition?

This one below also looks really nice, I have seen this version before but only from the side, this is the first picture I found showing how it looks below the action so to say.

I must confess to be much more fond of coin finished rifles then color case hardened ones.

I guess this one below would be the base version? The other ones looks to be more expensive when it comes to engraving.

Folks how does the Shikari fair for durability and strength with the Heym 89b?
I prefer the Heym cross bolt to the Rigby doll' head. Not only do I think it is stronger, but you don't have that exposed vertical hole to collect rain or dirt when the action is open.

Looks like an amazing rifle, given Rigby's reputation I'm sure it functions as well as it looks. If I won the lottery I'd probably own a few super expensive rifles, but alas I didn't pick the winning numbers last week. Unfortunately, I believe guns in this price range will always be out of reach for me, as any money I spend on guns comes out of my overall hunting budget.

I have considered selling my K-Gun in .470 NE in order to raise funds for a Rigby Big game, but have not been able to convince myself to pull the trigger yet.

Reza Call me any time you want to talk about Elephant. hunting and CMS.
I've hunted two Elephant with CMS.
In 13 African safari's and an equal number of North American hunts, BUZZ is the best guide I have ever hunted with.
