What have you bought that you shouldn't have, but don't regret it

Flamethrower. I'm not sorry even a little bit.

A Merkel Stutzen in 7-08. Shot it a few times, less than 20, never hunted. I take it out of the case and look at it occasionally. At the time I was full of lust for it.
how did it shoot for those few shots? I've considered buying one several times.

A man I used to know at church was a flame thrower on Iwo Jima! He said the tunnels were usually circular so that flame throwers if used in too long a burst would come back out the entrance.
That would explain the engine compartment layout on Japanese vehicles. A few weekends ago I spent two and a half hours changing a battery out that should have taken 5 minutes!! Move air box wiring harnesses power steering fluid reservoir etc etc LOL I was ready to throw flames but this vehicle had two batteries and the other one did take 5 minutes which effectively cooled the flamethrower down.

The only ones that spring to mind are my Dodge Challenger Hellcat, my Sailor King of Pens and the Lange Saxonia Moonphase I ordered the weekend before last.

None are rational purchases by any metric, but I can't say I regret any of them.

What price does one put on enjoyment? I'd say it's priceless, although it seems various companies do a pretty good job of setting a market value...

Boobs for my last wife......

Cheers

see... you and I have very different perspectives on this..

I bought boobs for my starter wife as well...

but.. when things ended.. she took them with her..

thats no bueno!

had she left them behind, there would be no regrets.. :D :D :D

My ex wife would tell you that she left the “boob” behind

I have always been careful with my money. Can't really think of anything I regret buying. Maybe the lightly used two-tone green '73 Ford pickup I bought way back in 1979. I guess I got my money's worth out of it eventually but man that 360 engine was sure useless.

I inherited a little a few years ago and invested quite a bit in wild women and booze, and just decided blow the rest! - Just kidding.

To answer the question:

Several firearms. (I have never suffered buyer's remorse from a gun purchase - only from failures to buy and ones that I sold but would like back.)

A harpoon gun like Quint's

A Series III Land Rover (I was so excited about getting it that I didn't take the time to hose off all the mud underneath to expose a frame that was rusted into) - but, I'm still glad I had it.

Offshore Center Console Boats (I enjoyed them all, but they were all money pits) - Anyone need a 2000 Regulator 26FS???

3 acres of swampland - but if I didn't, I might have a van full of hippies living in my backyard.

Too many rifles, pistols and shotguns to count until I figured out what I really need. I'm not likely to add any more at this stage in my life.

Countless shooting sticks but I keep going back to my BOG-POD Adrenaline.

Camping, hunting and motorcycle equipment to beat the band...this should probably be on top of the list but I've started going though it and selling some stuff.

I'm sure if you asked my wife this question you would get a much more comprehensive answer.
Reloading supplies!!! I could reload an armory for my guns…I got carried away with three chests of supplies. Lol…would not have done anything different!!!!

I think I’ve replied to this thread without actually answering the initial question.

I’m too young to have too many things I shouldn’t have bought but did anyway. Do kids count? I’ve got two of those I bought with a wedding ring. Don’t regret those but dang they are expensive. Wife’s totally worth it too! Only other thing I can think of is maybe a bunch of hunting gear but hey it’s better than strippers and more wife approved.

Hello there. I’ve been wanting to introduce myself personally & chat with you about hunting Nilgai. Give me a call sometime…

+1 Great to deal with. I purchased custom rifle. No issues.

I saw you were looking for some Swift A-Frames for your 9.3. I just bought a bulk supply of them in the 285g. version. If Toby's are gone, I could let 100 go for $200 shipped you are interested.
Thanks,
Gary
