Who is your favourite gun writer?

G Sitton was tops, in my opinion, too. I got to know him fairly well before he passed away. He would come hunt doves at my family’s dairy farm. Funny thing, that when he would show up for a few day’s shoot, his spare time was spent talking books and the proper use of the English vocabulary.. with my mom- a collegiate English major. He had a different cadence for sure, but he could tell a story, and reel you in, feeding you details you didn’t even know you were being fed, until his writing stopped. Rich writing, indeed! I miss that type of writing. I miss Gary.
I liked his writings a lot as well, gone way too soon.

Old school Ruark. During my life Boddington. He opened up international hunting.

Current: Joseph Von Benedikt
He writes like I wish I could and is into details like bullet, rifle, and optics performance also. His writings aren’t always poetic but he does occasionally leave the technical realm to describe feelings and visions so the reader can feel like he’s along for the ride.

Reza Call me any time you want to talk about Elephant. hunting and CMS.
I've hunted two Elephant with CMS.
In 13 African safari's and an equal number of North American hunts, BUZZ is the best guide I have ever hunted with.
