I decided to sell one of my Model 70s. It was made in 1962, It is a Pre 64 Model 70 Featherweight .30-06. The gun is in absolutely Immaculate condition. It is correct all original. For a gun that is 62 years old, it is amazing condition.

If you would like more pics, feel free to ask. I have this one priced right.
Asking $1500.00 shipped

That is a very fair price for an original, unmolested Pre-64 that appears to be in very good condition. Good luck with the sale. Someone is going to be very happy

Thank you, I appreciate it. I priced to sell for sure. Probably too low after looking around..lol I hope someone will enjoy it.

What a great American rifle. Everyone should own a M70 FWT 30-06.

I'll take it.

Do you have a matching 300 H&H and a 270 featherweight?

Atta boy @ActionBob !! Glad it’s going to a good home :D Cheers:
Thanks!

Stay tuned, I'm really going to need to sell some guns.

Thinking I'll put a couple up and donate the funds the direction @mdwest has suggested to for hurricane relief. Over on the politics thread. ;)

Glad you bought it before I did. I just bought 2 others this week and was really trying not to spend anymore this week.

Sold pending funds to Action Bob!

Chopped up the whole thing as I kept hitting the 240 character limit...
Found out the trigger word in the end... It was muzzle or velocity. dropped them and it posted.:)

2,822fps, ES 8.2
This compares favorably to 7 Rem Mag. with less powder & recoil.

*PLEASE NOTE THAT THIS IS FOR MY RIFLE, ALWAYS APPROACH A NEW LOAD CAUTIOUSLY!!*
Rifle is a Pierce long action, 32" 1:8.5 twist Swan{Au} barrel
{You will want a 1:8.5 to run the heavies but can get away with a 1:9}
Peterson .280AI brass, CCI 200 primers, 56.5gr of 4831SC, 184gr Berger Hybrid.

I know that this thread is more than a year old but as a new member I thought I would pass along my .280AI loading.
I am shooting F Open long range rather than hunting but here is what is working for me and I have managed a 198.14 at 800 meters.
That is for 20 shots. The 14 are X's which is a 5" circle.
