I was not trying to compare the firearms. I just think it would be fun to watch a hard core fan of Ruger #1 rifles shoot the firearm in the video and then try not to smile after dumping the magazine. I admit that the title of the thread is click bait to get ya’ll to watch the video. Just watching it made me smile. I hope it has made ya’ll smile, too.Jfet, thanks for sharing. I don't know how much of a comparison there is between it and a Ruger No.1, but the similarities between it and an H&K MP-5 come to mind.![]()
@Joker12Not my cup of tea but it would be if I had to go to war with one or the other.
@AZDAVEThe small auto carbines are always a hoot to shoot, but my favorite sub gun is a Thompson.
A lot of guns from WW1 and WW2 era fired from an open bolt. I won't go into the reasons, but suffice to say that it was easier to manufacture. It looks like it fires from an open bolt?
I’m a #1 guy & I keep thinking of all that brass I’d have to pick up to reload & I’m sure some would be lost?
fun to watch though, thanks for sharing.
