  • Cancellation Hunt coming up for August 2021!!! Arrival on 8 August or there about. Drop me a PM for a super deal before I post the thread tomorrow!!!!
2021 promises to be a bumper year! Can't wait to get back out into the field, and spend hours in the bush with our friends, new and old! Let's go!
    Hi Marius,

I don't know if is bad manners or taking liberties but I'm in a bit of a tight spot with my gun licenses. I need to have two landowners give me a letter that I have hunted or are welcome to hunt on their properties. The trouble is that my licenses have to be in by close of business on Thursday (38 hours from now!!)... I was hoping you could point me to someone that would be able to help.

    Regards
    Gary

Hi Gary, no worries. I merely have professional relationships with the land owners so dont know them that well to ask them for those type of favours. Let me think, and hopefully I can come up with an idea for you

Thanks Marius, obviously I would not want you to approach anyone that you're not comfortable doing so. but appreciate you giving it some thought.

    Hey Marius
What are the logistics of getting to Victoria Falls and possibly Kruger on the way by. Would like to spend a day or 2 around Kruger and see some of the big 5. Hearing lions at night or morning is also a great experience I would love to share.
Message is too kind so sent you an email via your website.
    Thanks

Good day sir, thank you for the message. I sent you a Private Message this morning, but was only notified about this message a minute ago. For Victoria Falls, you will require flights out of Johannesburg. For Kruger National Park, you can either drive up, roughly a 6hr drive, or fly to a nearby town called Hoedspruit or Phalaborwa. We can organize all of this for you.
    Take Care,
I tried to reply to your comments below, but keep getting an error message. So, I sent you a reply via 'contact us' on your web site....
Good morning! I'm interested in your group hunt with Brickburn. I'm exclusively a bow hunter and know that Brickburn in a bow hunter also. In the description of the hunt, it says that 'a few bow blinds are available'. My question becomes, would a 'few bow blinds' be enough to accommodate at least two bow hunters for the duration of a hunt?

    Thanks!

The biggest question would be what you would like to hunt. If I think it cant be done, I will tell you upfront. It will all depend on the species you are after.

My response was too long, so I sent you a message via your web site.
I hear your hound got a bit cut up by a bushbuck. I sincerely wish him a speedy recovery

    Hey Marius,
Hope all is well. Good luck this season. Heard Cape Town is a little dry. How's your water situation?

Hey Chris, Thanks brother! Cape Town is a bit of a disaster. They need rain bad. The rest of the country is starting to supply that area with water. We can also do with a bit, but were lucky to get a bit over December, but still need a lot to fall over our catchment areas before Winter sets in.
Hi Hi Marius thanks for the PM, could you email me regarding a possible hunt for 2017 September. I have been to the RSA 3 times and i'm after a good bow hunting property for Kudu, Nyala and Zebra with the possiblity of Stenbuck, Warthog. I normally hunt for 7 full days, pick up from PE airport. robert.templer@gmail.com
    Cheers

Hi John,Yes, we do offer Leopard hunts. At this stage all of our Leopard hunts are in Namibia. For the last three years, our area produced 100% success on the quota for the year. Unfortunately it is impossible to give you an idea on price so far out. The cancellation hunt is going for $12,700 all in. Thanks for the message. Looking forward to hearing from you!
Marius: How are things at KMG. How are the summer rains progressing? Hope things are going well for all of you!

    Hi Michael,
Sorry for the late reply. Only saw this function now. All is well! Had good summer rains. Getting a bit dry now. Had a very good safari season, so we can't complain. How are things on your side?
    Hey Skip,
Yes, Camo is legal in South Africa. Please no white hunting clothes or caps. You will be surprised how many I get of those.... :)
All animals should be taken on the shoulder. It makes the retrieval a lot easier, knowing that the animal dropped in its tracks. One thing to keep in mind on the Blue Wildebeest is the hump on its back, gives a false centre line of the animal, when viewed from side-on, causing a lot of hunter to place their shot too high.
The hunt is going to be great! Looking forward to having you guys over.
As I understand it camo clothing is legal is South Africa correct? When I went to Namibia it wasn't.

Where do you like to place your shots on broadside Blue Wildbeest? Do you shoulder shot them to anchor them or lung shoot them?

I am getting excited for May already!

Hi Jay,

Hope you're well.

I'm headed your way in January.

Attending SHOT Show has been a long time bucket list item for me.

Finally made it happen and I'm headed to Vegas.

I know you're some distance from Vegas - but would be keen to catch up if it works out.

Have a good one.

Mark
