There are. If you use them 100 percent of the time. There is no way to mitigate concussive blast without them however.

H.S Precision replacement stock was an easy upgrade and not super expensive. Stocky's stocks has them. Add Alaskan Arms quick detach scope mounts and get after it.
We should all start emailing Alpha Precision to get them to make 375 Ruger brass. They make 7 PRC which it based off 376 Ruger. Their brass is top notch.

I have a Gunwerks Skuhl chambered in 375 Ruger and love it. I reload 270 gr Barnes TSX at 2800 fps and it duplicates the factory 300 gr ammo energy with much better accuracy and much lower recoil.

I’m able to hit steel plates with it no problem out to 500 yds. I used it on a safari and took animals with this loads from 50 yds to 200 yds off of sticks. All animals were absolutely devastated by this load.

Am curious about the Ruger safety issue and a PH, in a tight spot. Agree with many other experienced hunters, that the Ruger 3 position safety, is not as ergonomic, as the Model 70 Winchester safety.
Can you share some more details?

Bossie just called me a bit ago. He is out of the ICU and feeling much better today! He sounded great, but choked up asking me to again thank everyone for their prayers and donations.

He told some of what happened and it made me choke up and sent chills up my spine, more because of his faith and experience than the actual attack. His experience reaffirms ones belief.

He got two shots into the bull as it charged, as many hunters in Africa do, as they have been taught from young on, he carries his gun bolt up or open, safety off. His 416 Rigby Ruger holds a standard 3 down, when he racked...

I had them mount the scope but I did my own loads and ballistic work.

My PH loved the gun couldn’t believe how light and low recoiling it was when I let him try it out.

How do you like it?

Out to about 150yds it’s great. I think if I put a higher magnification on it I could stretch it out a bit farther. I’m sure the cartridge is capable. I also have 3 other Leopolds that I really like along with a couple of Trijicons.

I have a ruger alaskan with the hogue stock and love it. I may even like it better than my model 70 safari express in 375 hh and I love that gun. That little stainless ruger works for dangerous stuff in Africa, and elk hunting in the US, or bear hunting...or deer hunting or just a bad weather gun for anything...or a good weather gun for everything. It’s very versatile. I much prefer the hogue stock to the laminated wood one. The worst thing about the 375 ruger is hornaday. They never make runs of brass for it and you are basically stuck with their soft or solid loads as nobody else is producing it to my knowledge. You can make brass out of the prc cases in a pinch but that doesnt help you of you need to travel to places that check

Surprisingly, Hornady released quite a bit of the.375 Ruger brass a few weeks ago several of the sporting goods stores that carry reloading supplies had it. It’s most likely all sold out now and yes it’s been like fairy dust.

Had it not been for a few kind hearted chaps on AH forum offering up some once fired brass I’d still be wondering how well the Hawkeye .375 Ruger shoots. I keep 300 grain rn and solids right at the magic number of 2400 fps, it’s amazingly accurate.
