460 Weatherby Magnum Scope

Thank you for the response. I am not well versed in large caliber terminology. What is an EAW mount?

To the OP, you’ll note your Weatherby has a smooth barrel with no provision for iron sights. It was designed to have a scope mounted on it. Your rifle pre dates modern red dot sights as well. There is absolutely no dilemma regarding mounting a scope. You must simply choose a scope with ample eye relief like a Leupold.

I buy a packet of these

RIP your ears, but double up on ear pro with brake. But I would shoot it without a scope... If its bearable try Like Leupold VX6hd 1-6, Ziess V6 or V4, Swarovski i6 or i8. If its not sell it and get something else. I know Burris and Vortex have some long eye relieve scopes for slug guns you could try too.

Morning Rob, Any feeling for how the 300 H&H shoots? How's the barrel condition?

Hello. I see you hunted with Sampie recently. If you don't mind me asking, where did you hunt with him? Zim or SA? And was it with a bow? What did you hunt?

I am possibly going to book with him soon.
Currently doing a load development on a .404 Jeffrey... it's always surprising to load .423 caliber bullets into a .404 caliber rifle. But we love it when we get 400 Gr North Fork SS bullets to 2300 FPS, those should hammer down on buffalo. Next up are the Cutting Edge solids and then Raptors... load 200 rounds of ammo for the customer and on to the next gun!
To much to political shit, to little Africa :-)
