The 9.3x72R and the 9.3x74R are VERY different cartridges. The former is little more than a somewhat anemic 30-30 while the latter will kill cape buffalo. Reaming out the chamber of a drilling barrel from one to the other would leave it dangerously thin. The 72R's are also typically older guns not proofed or built to handle something like a 74R.
A paradox really isn't designed for "slugs." They use a "bullet" of specific weights with which the gun is regulated. For instance, my pre-WWI William Evans Paradox will put 4 rounds LxR/LxR under 3-inches at 100 yards. It also shoots perfect modified patterns with number 6 shot. I have used it to roll wart hogs for leopard bait and create a large pile of sand grouse from the same waterhole one afternoon in Namibia. Ross Seyfried recreated the original, paper hulled 740 gr load for this gun.

Conical Bullets in Brass Cases was the original loads for Paradox,here in my country,reloading is now prohibited.Getting the same specially ordered is a very expensive proposition.We guys improvised.
By the way, you wouldn’t happen to know anybody in India who’s got a double rifle which they might be willing to sell, do you? I have a friend in India who’s looking to buy one. The only criteria is that it must be .450 caliber or larger.
Ross's loads, which faithfully replicate the form and loading of the original are on the right. That is actually a 735 gr "bullet." On the left are the Holland & Holland loads for their current bespoke production Paradox. As you can see they decided to maintain a modern form factor. Both are 2.5 inch cases. These will do the same 3-inch group at fifty yards that Ross's will do at a hundred. The old guys knew a thing or two.

I would never shoot a slug through a British game gun regardless of when it was made. Most Continental guns were designed to handle them. Just make sure you are dealing with 67 or 70mm chambers. I would assume modern SxS's, built for the litigious American consumer, would also handle them without any issues.
There was a 500 N.E by Greener up for sale some time back,really dont know the status as of now.will check and let you know.
