A gunsmithing friend said he’s got an eye that should suit well enough. Doesn’t have to be perfect just has to be better than the ghastly target mount that’s on it at the moment.
I won’t be too pedantic on a sling itself, it’s more just about removing A. Shotgun butt pad, B. Target style sling mount.
As for the third leaf - it would just be cosmetic and I wouldn’t have it sighted to 300, heck may have a crack myself with a file and some steel, they don’t look complicated. Front sight is a replacement also but it won’t get changed unless it shoots a mile high or low. This rifle came out of Africa - ah the stories it could tell, it’s evidentially been used. Actually, a lot of the guns I’ve catalogued have come from India, and most show hard use. So people did use them, yet I can’t fine a single photo or account of one
