I absolutely refuse to buy into this nonsense. I am carrying on with life as normal as possible with all the fear mongering going on. I’m working both at the studio and the ranch. I think this entire Corona Virus crap is a load of bull sh$t. Yes it’s a virus, yes it’s contagious, but we have 2 cases locally in a city of 200k people and an area of about 350k. Pretty low odds. My biggest fear is this over reaction BS is going to set a precedent so the whole damn country is going to loose their collective nuggets every time someone gets the sniffles anywhere.
Yip it’s a different cat than the flu but still it hasn’t had the global effect in deaths and sick people as the common damn flu does annually. This whole thing has been blown waaaaay out of proportion and it’s starting to effect how many people make their livings. I’ve been applauded at how stupid a huge percentage of the population has acted over this. God forbid any real disaster on a large scale ever happen. I’d hate to see what the sheep do then.

I haven't altered my way of doing things.
But, I live alone. I can go to the archery ranges, gun ranges, store for food as needed, which isn't to often as I keep a store of supplies on hand, filled my truck and gas jugs in prep for mowing season.

With spring turkey season starting in 2 weeks, plans on hold for Africa, I'm getting out scouting for birds, and I need to get my boat on the lakes, it hasn't been on the water in months and has a full tank of gas (treated) that needs to be emptied. Of course being out in the boat also requires some rod and testing.

Then there's the this forum, reloading, and leather work to keep me busy.

Personally, I'm quite bored though it's nice to spend time with my family. Once this is actually over with, I'm getting friends over and going out for drinks.

Wish I could hold up for awhile but I work in a gunshop here in Texas. Sales are very brisk and having to be around so many people is worrisome. We are taking all the precautions we can, wearing gloves and disinfecting counters and doors as much as possible. Unless we get put on a mandatory lockdown I expect I will work normal hours as always.
On a side note. I have a CZ 550 at AHR and talked to Wayne on Friday. He may have it finished this week. Number 1 upgrade along with glass bedding and mercury reducer. I cant wait to het it back!

Take care my friend. Got back home and I am now on mandatory quarantine for 14 days. Looks like I am going to get a lot of those (round to it ) jobs done after all. Shop will probably be closed this week as non-essential.

I work In the marine railroad industry, we build and retrofit commercial fishing vessels up to 50'. I was retained as on a oncall basis for emergency repairs. Which is still allowed as an essential service.

We're not lucky enough to have a spring turkey season or turkeys for that matter. So I stopped on the way home and bought two boxes of .270 fusions. The song dogs are gonna catch hell for awhile.

As an "essential" person working cargo I still go to work. But I got a different house last year (not new at only a year younger than I am) and the old owners maintained but did not improved the place. There's a lot to be updated. A lot. So aside from trips to Lowes and some small stuff at the grocery store and I could lay low for weeks dealing with just the house if I become nonessential.

My wife and I are completely shut down. We only leave the house with mask and gloves on and rinse everything with Chlorox wipes when we come home, then wash our hands thoroughly. We have groceries and meds and restaurant meals delivered to our house and receive the deliveries wearing masks and gloves.

Work as usual for me. I’m an onsite rep for a steel fabricator. We have one job that is still up and running. To tell the truth I’d rather be out here in the open air than stuck in an office. Past two weekends have been a treat traveling all over the place when I get home to get the wife needed supplies. Grocery stores look like a cyclone have hit them.

Was working 3rd shift for Cessna here in Wichita, now we're on a minimum 4 week furlough which has the option to be indefinite.
We'd already stocked up at the beginning of the month before the panic hit, so we're good on supplies for quite a while.
The time off gives me time with the kids and a chance to get stuff done that the wife's been bitching about for the past several years.
I also plan on getting my new HF antenna set up that I've been putting off for several months because up until this month I was working 6-7 days a week.

My sister is out in Wichita as well she had to go to half days at Hormel yesterday.

I am a paramedic/firefighter and own a custom bird taxidermy business where I spend my hours when not at the fire station. I work on the edges of Salt Lake City and a hub of out of state skiing tourism. We now wear n-95 masks and goggles on ALL calls and on confirmed or high suspect covid calls we gown and mask completely. Normally I look forward to work-now when I am at work I have a nervous twitch every time the tones go off.
I live in a very small town and take every precaution to not bring virus etc home from work, but none of us actually know when we get affected do we?
My wife is a full time school counselor then a marriage /family therapist a couple nights a week. Currently she does all her work from home on her laptop through the zoom program. Our kids do all school on laptops and we take them to the local pond or mtns to get them out of the house for a minute.
I have a couple close friends that are ER docs and both are working out of state trying to ease the burdens of areas harder hit. It is a life consuming virus right now-in more than one way-I have young dogs to train, kids to tutor, bullets to load and birds to mount. I shop for some essentials when I need to and we have a storage system. My wife makes fun of me because I stockpile mtn house dehydrated meals-suddenly my hunting stash is looking pretty awesome!

Right now, not much different. I have been tasked to help clear out the local jail. I am hopeful that this will be all over soon enough. I understand the numbers are going to climb as more folks are tested, but not sure what are the real numbers.

Personally, I don’t think crashing the economy and self quarantine is the way to go. The world is too mobile and once it’s here it’s here.

Went out this morning to gas the truck. $1.56/gal by the way. Went by Walmart, HEB and Academy. The only line I saw was at Academy. I suspect those folks weren't there to buy their spring wardrobes.

We are hunkered down in the house. My wife was tested last Wed, and we are waiting for the results. So, I've keeping busy in my junk room (as my wife calls it) cleaned all my guns, put hunting stuff away, and organized my reloading bench. Oh, and I've been smoking some fine cigars in the afternoon/evening. We are good with food for at least 60+ days, no so much with TP

We’ve changed from entertaining, feeding and transporting thousands of guests on vacation to entertain, motivate and trying to get a couple of thousand crew home.
At the same time worrying about the family back home in a soon locked down South Africa.
