CZ550 American Magnum bolt knob Q's

Hi Kimberwarrior45,

I had a similar issue with my bolt, but in addition, the sharp edge of the hole drilled into the bolt was uncomfortable on my hand. I wanted the hole filled in and the bolt straighten up. In the end I did not get exactly what I was planning for, but the result is very comfortable. The elongated ball extended enough the total length of the bolt that it became very quick to grab without being bulky.

This is what I had originally in mind, but by gunsmith decided to save me some $ in the process and did not straighten up the bolt.

Planning out my own cz550... what gunsmith did that handle? It looks perfect!

It was done in ON, Canada. Based on your location it won't help you much.

That would certainly be a bit cost prohibitive! If you give me their name, I can reach out and see if they would be willing to advise a stateside gunsmith regarding how to get a similar look. Maybe they have stock of a weld-on bolt I could purchase.

trperk1, I bought the Kimber Caprivi 375 back in an earlier post. You attached a target with an impressive three rounds touching 100 yards. I took the 2x10 VX5 off and put a VX6 HD Gen 2 1x6x24 Duplex Firedot on the rifle. It's definitely a shooter curious what loads you used for the group. Loving this rifle so fun to shoot. Africa 2026 Mozambique. Buff and PG. Any info appreciated.

Hello:
I’ll take the .375 Whitworth for $1,150 if the deal falls through.
Thanks .
