Dangerous Game on offer for 2011

Agree that some of the rules are outdated.

Zimbawe you can export Elephant and Buffalo, the people that can't get their trophies out is not because there is restrictions but rogue outfitters stuffing it up, wrong paperwork... non payment etc.

I for one believe $4000 for a Buffalo Bull is about fair price and $12000 - $15000 fair price for an Elephant. I disagree with ..."below market value"... if you measure it against SA then Zim prices is the right prices. Moz you can export... just US citizens can't... the Russians and Spaniards hunt Moz and get their Elephant trophies. Zim and Moz are still value for money hunting especially Dangerous Game.

Well said, Louis. We must protect what we love.

PAC hunts...

It's funny...we never see any P.A.C. rhino hunts in RSA.....(sarcasm emphasized). I mean surely there have to be some problem rhino's. Outfitters can't make any money (would actually lose a great deal) by offering these on PAC so....connect the dots.

Straight up... good one Tom:-))

I still think the fact you can't export elephant out of Mozambique is absurd....If they had value...meaning you could export them...there would be better management.

That my friend is no one elses fault than US fish and Wildlife.

Well said Frederik!

Best Regards

And all this time I thought the government in Mozambique has been unable to provide a plan for sustainable hunting. The USWF has even provided grant money for this basic purpose.

Mike, you are correct this is what I have of the story and its just politics in the end of the day. Basically Mozambique is saying who the hell are you to tell us how to manage our elephants we dont need your US ivory hunters we have enough from around the world.

And USWF will stand on their point and will not budge unless Mozambique says ok lets do the plan so between the hard headed USWF and Anti Colonist in Moz you will never win.

Emails and PM's responded to, thank you very much.

On a side note, please stick to the topic of the thread, if any of you wish to discuss at length what constitutes a Problem Animal or the legislation around it, feel free to open another thread and discussing it there.

As I have stated before, and will again, the paperwork for these hunts are in order, all is above board and these hunts need to be conducted/concluded as soon as possible. The assumptions and comments made by some who have commented on this thread is not only unproffesional but also has no relevance as to the topic, that there are a few select animals being made available by South African Nature Conservation, I have stated that should anyone want or need any additional info that they should get in touch with me directly. Please respect the general rules of this forum and try and abide by common decency.

Thank you very much,
