Good country. From Coffee Pot Road, you can go southwest and look into Grizzly Creek and spot bighorn rams. I've done that a few times when scouting/guiding sheep in S74.We hunted deer and elk there 1980-1994. Camp was 13 miles up the road, good hunting on the ridges to the west. Also hiked down Broken Rib trail by the spring all the way down, across French creek (or Grizzly Creek, I forget which). We also hiked and hunted all the way to I-70 before the Bair Ranch rest area was there. Tough hunts, good memories, great friends. Most have since passed.
Wendy and I will be at the rodeo on the 18th.I avoid the Denver cesspool at all costs, except for the Expo and National Western. Expo requires a stop at Sam's for my annual biscuits and gravy.
Kinda looks like Atlanta? LOL
That’s a shame to hear. I feel for not only those who travelled to Atlanta for the show expecting something better planned, but also for the exhibitors who were there because much of their livelihood depends on the shows. Hopefully, they’ll conduct a honest after action review and make the changes needed to make the event a success in the future.DSC in Atlanta all 4 days was a total bust!
They will try to blame the weather but Thursday and Sunday weather was beautiful.
This was a total disaster only made worse by the weather. Attendance at the boat show
was thought to be good by most that we talked to.
Several of the exhibitors divided their staff between Atlanta and Dallas and some even Denver
everyone we talked to said their staff (usually less trade show experienced) did better than those
who went to Atlanta!
We witnessed several DSC staff and at least 3 board members talking to exhibitors and
I personally was appalled at their arrogance.
The morning exhibitor breakfast was shameful
The board and CEO need to be replaced!
A client and friend who is a past President of DSC says he can’t believe that the current board approved the plan to go to Atlanta. He said they would have been much better off to downsize the show a bit and stay in Dallas until the convention center was renovated.DSC in Atlanta all 4 days was a total bust!
