@NIGHTHAWK , there is nothing wrong with a .243, power to you for standing by your choice.
I have only seen one Blaser in the flesh. It had a nice timber stock. They can look quite nice in the right configuration. Just a modern twist on a sporting rifle.
I would like a nice bolt action classic rifle but the Blaser is expensive by my standards making the Rigby seem bloody expensive.
Poking fun at a Blaser is like poking fun at Bob. Nobody takes them serious have a lot of different rifles and shotguns. Some pretty nice, but most are functional and the custom or semi-custom rifles are built for accuracy. They are not particularly fancy. This includes the .243. I can give 2 shits what others are shooting their 80 to 100 grain bullets out of, or through, as long as they feel that their objective was met. I hadn’t considered how effective that .243 could be until my PH and others encouraged to use it on larger plains game. Thats why I post the results in my reports. That said, I’m certain that last Roan I shot wI’ll likely be the end of the spectrum. I’m not interested in stunts or proving points and I certainly don’t want to injure and animal abs have it run off.
