Greeting from Rhinoster Hoek Safaris

Thanks to some good rain in March/April, the veld is looking lush and stunning and the animals are in good condition. We are indeed privileged to live in such a beautiful area (kudu heaven).

Warren, we are truly looking forward in getting there on Sunday! Get enough wood for big bomb fires and please DO remember some extra blankets for our VERY SPECIAL GUESTS coming with us.

See you soon, take care!

Welcome to AH...

Welcome to AH, Warren!

Greetings from a crisp and chilly South Africa. Sharing a glass of wine with my wife while gearing up for Tootabi to come hunt this weekend. Definitely have to get the blankets out for clients now!

The picture of my wife getting her butt warmed was at Warren's place!

Warren,

I also really appreciated the hospitality, and the coffee, when Lammie and I came by the earlier in the week. I really enjoyed seeing your trophies and especially your leopard as well.

And guys, if y’all think the Steenbok I took there was nice then you should have seen some of the skulls Warren had. Wow....

Royal, it was great to have you guys with us, we pride ourselves on our hospitality, apologies to the ladies - the geyser has been replaced! To the other readers Royal did not mention the other steenbok still running around in the veld. On a sad note though, our friendly gentle giant, Bella, the great dane passed away on Monday afternoon. RIP.

The ladies had a great time and enjoyed the stay. That Steenbok was actually the first animal that NAncy has seen me take. And although she still won't hunt herself, I can honestly say that she appreciated the experience.

Very sad to hear about Bella, my condolences.... She came up to great me while I was there. First thing I I knew there was a pressure on my hip, I turned to look, and there she was leaning against me. :) Very sweet dog....

Warren, I believe I was the hunter in March that stated that I had brought the rain and you thanked me for it. I enjoyed meeting you and staying at the ranch.

Morning Rob, Any feeling for how the 300 H&H shoots? How's the barrel condition?

Hello. I see you hunted with Sampie recently. If you don't mind me asking, where did you hunt with him? Zim or SA? And was it with a bow? What did you hunt?

I am possibly going to book with him soon.
Currently doing a load development on a .404 Jeffrey... it's always surprising to load .423 caliber bullets into a .404 caliber rifle. But we love it when we get 400 Gr North Fork SS bullets to 2300 FPS, those should hammer down on buffalo. Next up are the Cutting Edge solids and then Raptors... load 200 rounds of ammo for the customer and on to the next gun!
