What does that bear weigh?

I would say minimum 230 grains bullet. In any caliber you like. I don’t prefer magnum for brown bear, shooting distance is under 100m. I used from 300 win mag up to 458 Lott and my favourite so far is 9,3x62.

since the ban in 2016 , more than 20 people have been killed, and probably more than 200 have been wounded; the compensations for killed livestock exceeded 2mil$ /per year

What does that bear weigh?

As a taxidermy mount somewhere between 50-60kg including the base, as a live animal I can't have a correct guess as I get only the skins .... but Marius should be able give you a better estimation

Price for organisation 1750 euros
INCLUDED:
• 3 days of hunting
• 4 nights accommodation (single occupancy) on full board basis excluding drinks
• All transport in hunting area 4x4
• Romanian hunting license
• Romanian hunting Insurance
• Preparing the papers for the export (customs declarations, etc)

Trophy fees
Up to 400 CIC points….. 10000 euros
Above 400 CIC price is …10000 euros plus 80 euros/ 1 point
Wounded and not retrieved 7500 euros

• CITES for export 700 euros

I hunted bears with Marius last fall. You definitely want to get in on this hunt.

There are a lot of bears in Romania. You see a lot, its very exciting and different than anything else in bear hunting. The food and accommodations are great, and unlike Alaska (which I love), Romania is also warm, dry and I did not see any helicopter-sized mosquitos for a whole week.

It's really a good hunt. Marius is a top tier outfitter and passionate bear hunter.

@Cleathorn did you hunt Fall or Spring? Do you prefer one season over another?
There appeared to be corn cobs in one of the photos - is baiting allowed and effective? The hides look good and I like the chocolate color

We have a high density of brown bears in our best hunting areas. 3 days we consider to be enough for this hunt. Succes of the hunt depending on many factors, our experience and professional knowledge will determine to achieve that.
You see corn in some pictures because they are coming to eat on our wild boar feeding points.
There is no hunting season like before, bears can be hunted to reduce the number on the released quota from 01 of January to 31 of December.
