Life Advice

I don't think I'm old enough for sage advice, but a few things that have served me well in my career thus far.

1. Know exactly how the game is played. Think hard on if you want to play it.
2. Judge people on their qualities and abilities, not their title or position.
3. Indecision is often worse than a poor decision. Have the guts to move forwards, even when in doubt.

Two that came from my football coach that stick with me.

“If you’re gonna be a bear be a grizzly” in other words whatever you are be the biggest baddest version you can be.

“If you’re going to make a mistake make it going full speed” which I alway take to mean mistakes of effort and action are far better than mistakes from lack of effort or inaction. Take action with your best judgement and intentions and even if it’s wrong you’ve done the right thing.

My Dad, who hated hesitation when action was needed ……

“Do something, if you do it wrong”

Not the best sentence structure, but you get the drift.

In 13 African safari's and an equal number of North American hunts, BUZZ is the best guide I have ever hunted with.
