As I was the one who started the thread 10 months ago, I object to the term "dumping ground"!

I wrote when I started this thread:

The long-running Politics thread is for serious (or at least mostly serious) discussion of political affairs. The thread "On A Lighter Note" is more for non-political memes and funny stuff.

I'm proposing a new thread that combines the two. It can be for any politically oriented meme or headline regardless of party or political orientation.

The term "dumping ground" makes it sounds like a garbage dump which I don't think it is. The memes posted tend to be more from the conservative side but that is probably reflective of the audience that visits the forum in general.

I am a firm believer in transparency as it stops most arguments and misunderstandings before they can start. Could you tell me what spurred your post that I quoted above?
