Wishing you all a very Merry Christmas & a Happy New Year. As for yours truly, I'm spending this Christmas in the midst of travel. I (along with my son & daughter-in-law) had to pick my eldest granddaughter up from Norway (she's on holiday from her final semester in the University of Oslo) and we're currently in transit at Thailand. We should be back home to celebrate the holidays with the rest of the family by tomorrow evening.
Right now, we're enjoying Christmas the Thai way- at a local Kentucky Fried Chicken outlet near the airport (no joke, more Thai people go to KFC than any other fastfood outlet during Christmas). The food's great although I much prefer Popeye's to KFC. Unfortunately, it appears that I've never been able to teach my family how to choose good food. I'm the only one who ordered Original Recipe fried chicken. Everybody else went for that modern monstrosity which KFC calls the "Extra Crispy". The Thailand KFC outlets also have these delicious little Pastel De Nada Portuguese Egg tarts which are more addictive than crack cocaine.
Anyway, have a great one ! And pray that this year I finally manage to get my hands on a .600 Nitro Express James Purdey & Sons sidelock ejector (although a .600 Nitro Express Heym Jumbo definitely wouldn't hurt either). Or a Joe Smithson .505 Gibbs built on a Granite Mountain Arms African Magnum Mauser action.
Warmest Regards,
Habib
