Pretty accurate isn't it? DOD and State have exhausted the most recent funding allocation, and unless the House under its new leader initiates another, Ukraine will loose support, particularly military support, of the United States. That obviously will embolden Putin and dramatically undermine the Ukrainian effort to preserve its independence. It also will directly cost lives as Russia begins its winter strategic bombardment of Ukraine's utility infrastructure and Ukraine quickly exhausts its supplies of air and missile defense munitions. I wonder how the openly devout Mike Johnson squares that each evening? But then again, I assume his real concerns are the Freedom Caucus and Donald Trump.

This nation failed in Afghanistan - a fiasco about which the populist brigades were duly angry. And now I guess they can take pride in authoring our failure in Ukraine. Putin will be thrilled, if likely puzzled.
Like almost everything else, it's ALL about the money. For every Iranian made drone sent into Ukraine by Russia, $1 million dollars will be deducted from the $6 billion frozen Iranian funds and sent to OUR munitions plants to expand and manufacture artillery shells, Javelins and Stingers to be sent to Ukraine. Maybe another million for each Houthi missile or drone sent towards our warships operating in International waters. I don't want to hear about International law or what the useless UN thinks. Our enemies snub EVERY International law unless it plays into their agenda.

The more I read, listen, and learn, the more I feel that the U N, its ancilliaries, and like international bodies are irrelevant to the interests of the U S, Australia, and associated countries. After all, what benefit do we receive in response to our input? They, and their associated bureaucracies are run by socialist/woke people who only are their for their own benefit. e.g: the present president of the UN?
OK, leave their headquarters in New York, but RESTRICT their access to the rest of the US very closely. Insofar as attacks on "our" infrastructure worldwide, follow the Israeli dictum: a ten-fold (at least!) response, without overly risking our fighting personnel; no repeat of Vietnam, or Afghanistan, our best and youngest dying on foreign fields..

If the RINOS and closet Dems work hard enough, Trump won't be president. That outcome will likely lead to some woke cabal of who knows... maybe Joe in some form, Michelle, Buttygig, Newsom, etc.... Enjoy!

Such TDS attitudes would make even Liz Cheney proud :)

Oh wait a minute, I stand corrected, nothing new, that already happened and the country is suffering a sharp downward spiral right now because of that smug "wisdom".

It's very obvious that the UN has recently shifted its focus by not so subtly supporting countries involved in terrorism, threats and harassment against Democratic countries around the World. Russia, China, Iran and North Korea are running rampant while thumbing their noses at International law. IMHO, the UN has outlived any legitimacy and usefulness it may have once had when formed after WW2 to replace the League of Nations. The US should have pulled its UN Ambassador and frozen its funding to the UN after Antonio Guterres's condemnation of Israel amid Hamas's brutal attack. Money talks and the UN's BS walks!

Can anyone explain why 113 Republicans would vote No on expelling George Santos from the House? I get wanting to keep a Republican in the office, but the guy is a prolific liar that you can't utilize effectively. Seems a dereliction of duty to vote No on that issue.
Probably for some of the same reasons why the Dem's would vote no on expelling the nutbags from the squad.

It is almost beyond belief that people can be so stupid.

Donald Trump likes to criticize campaign rival Ron DeSantis and on Monday the former president even blamed the governor for Florida State University's football misfortune.

Noting that Florida State University is the first unbeaten team from a big-time conference to be left out of college football's four-team playoff, Trump shared on his Truth Social platform: "Really bad lobbying effort…Lets blame DeSanctimonious!!!"

DeSantis may be the governor of Florida, but he had nothing to do with a college football committee's decision to pick the University of Alabama over Florida State University for the last slot in it's four-team playoff. The Crimson Tide joins the universities of Michigan, Washington, and Texas in the mini-tournament to be held early next year.

The teams were chosen by College Football Playoff selection committee, and DeSantis and other Floridians quickly pointed out that FSU has a perfect record of 13-0, while Alabama finished their season at 12-1.

"Failure" implies that there would or could have been success. And success in Afghanistan would have looked like what exactly? The "populist brigades" had nothing to do with the grand finale. "Populist brigades" what in the hell is meant by that obviously demeaning phrase? BTW one often used by the left and MSM? You mean a huge majority of the American population? You can have someone tell me that or CNN tell be that but my brain and eyes and ears don't lie and I can see that Brandon oversaw the final chapter and BHO had an 8 year shot at it. Am I missing something?

Texas really should have been number 4 and FSU number 3. But that of course would mean no SEC team, and the powers that be (TV money) could not have that.

The problem we are going to have are people like me. I will vote solidly republican down ticket. I voted for Trump twice - I will not do it again.

Trump is not a good answer. As of yet he is not the Republican Candidate. Let’s find a better answer.

@Red Leg I will be like Spurius Lartius and stand with you.

You are correct. That was a snarkier description than I needed to use. Let's use "Trump followers." Trump is not a conservative, and his true believers seem most fixated on terms like RINOs, the Swamp, etc - slogans which seem to appeal to a lot of people but about which, just like his first term, he can and will do nothing at all. He will fill the same political appointments as his predecessors, and with respect to those traitorous RINOS, the more he antagonizes and alienates them, the less he will get done in his lame duck presidency. Remember, every one of those RINOs was elected by their own republican constituencies who support them. He is not a conservative and he is not a big tent republican, so I think Trump follower is a good description of his supporters.

Huge majority? I don't think so. Even among those of us who voted for him, many, like me, did so with great reluctance. I can't see doing it yet again. And yes, I fully admit I appreciated some of his economic initiatives. He is just no longer worth it.

Trump's followers were furious how we left Afghanistan. You can turn back several hundred pages of this thread and read paragraph after paragraph about it. I agree with them.

But if our material support of Ukraine ends because of the likes of Donald Trump, the Freedom Caucus, and their slogan shouting followers, they will own for posterity the destruction of Ukraine. Even more dangerously, they will own decisively supporting Putin and Russia in the strategic goal to become the dominate power on the Eurasion land mass. They will own the murder and imprisonment, not of a bunch of allah akbar shouting mountain tribesmen, but of the pro-western intellectual and political class which the Russians will exterminate wholesale - an incredibly brave European people who have asked for nothing but the means to fight an invader. That I think is what Trump supporters are missing and it sickens me.

The commissioners of the ACC and PAC 10 raised hell about the playoff expanding in 2023 not sure of their reasoning but it turned out to bite them in the ass. Even as an SEC loyalist I think FSU should have gotten in but that may be because I’m looking through orange and blue glasses.

I just wish this season had occurred the year after the four team playoff was instituted. Had it, we would have been watching a 12-team playoff for several years, and some of the dramatic realignment that killed the Pac 12 may never have happened.

The committee had no right answer for this. Florida State was likely the most "deserving" to be number four. But if you are Michigan, would you rather have to play Florida State or Alabama in that first playoff game. Their reaction in learning it will be Bama.

LOL, pretty much says it all. I suspect the reaction would have been much the same had Texas been bumped as well and Georgia been number 4. To slightly twist a phrase - The SEC just means more.

Looks like Japan and EU preparing test of model fusion reactor in Japan. Larger model under construction in France. I wish them well. Tough nut to crack- on par with quantifying dark energy. But taming fusion would be a game changer for the planet. If ultimately successful, maybe then apparatchiks like Greta, in her old age, could retire to Gaza. ;)

Perhaps that won't make any difference in Texas.

Hopefully your vote in Texas won't make any real difference as long as the State remains Red in the next Presidential election. But you are correct in that voters like you in the swing states are going to make a real difference.

My vote in Alabama really won’t matter either, I will vote for someone else in the primary but as I’ve said before in November I will walk in vote for trump reluctantly and walk outside and be sick.

Share Message - Forest City: Inside Malaysia's Chinese-built 'ghost city'

Supposedly China has enough vacant apartments to house 100%-200% of their population. In other words, 2-3 homes for each family. This with a declining population.

China has so much dead money tied up in dead infrastructure, the next couple of generations will be in for a miserable life. China's glory years are behind it and Xi may just be understanding the extent of the problems he faces.

Morning Rob, Any feeling for how the 300 H&H shoots? How's the barrel condition?

Hello. I see you hunted with Sampie recently. If you don't mind me asking, where did you hunt with him? Zim or SA? And was it with a bow? What did you hunt?

I am possibly going to book with him soon.
Currently doing a load development on a .404 Jeffrey... it's always surprising to load .423 caliber bullets into a .404 caliber rifle. But we love it when we get 400 Gr North Fork SS bullets to 2300 FPS, those should hammer down on buffalo. Next up are the Cutting Edge solids and then Raptors... load 200 rounds of ammo for the customer and on to the next gun!
