It looks to me that Trump's win came mostly from people who had had enough of the liberal nonsense. They just want normal. Look at the California swing and the popular vote.
The Democrats seem to have done some immediate soul searching, their tone is far more conciliatory, and the Republicans should take note lest the pendulum swings back again.
As others have said, there is a chance here for a generational Republican/conservative movement, but it needs to be carefully planned for and executed because it all depends upon holding that middle ground with sensibilities. The liberals are emotion driven, it is all over the top, do or die extreme. The Democrats have made a fatal mistake adopting and pandering to that. They largely know it, so now more than ever Republicans/conservatives need to be calm and confident and strong. Plant the olive branches and enjoy the olives, the votes in 2028 will reward you.

It looks like Trump is going to want Stefanic from New York as the UN ambassador. What is New York’s procedure for replacing sitting Congress people? If Hockel gets to name a replacement this is not a good idea in my opinion. The house already has a razor thin majority (maybe).

As I pointed out earlier, you already have no privacy. License plate readers in most cities, cell tower tracking, heck I was talking about getting my puppy with Ryglen gun dogs in an email and I started getting puppy training ads in my Internet browser within hours.

Also, a National ID would be administered by the Feds. Furthermore, blue State governors would want to facilitate it, not make it harder for people to vote. We are not talking about CCW permits.

Well, you want to see the papers to vote, don't you? Also, I gather you travel internationally to countries that have National ID, how often do you get stopped and asked for papers on a normal day. Has never happened to me in Europe. Once in Brazil at a roadblock, and there they were looking at trunks of every car, didn't ask for ID.

I was stopped and asked for my ID multiple times walking down the street in Belfast.

However the true argument is this….

We don’t need endless new laws and ID’s we need to enforce the ones we have.

The entire argument of “voter ID discrimination” means that minorities will be kept from voting is a lie based on Racism and perpetuated by the Democrats.

They’re literally saying “(insert minority) are to poor or ignorant to get an ID”

If it wasn’t for these minorities opening their eyes to the Democrat party…. Kamala would be our president

That’s my greatest concern, would she have to select a Republican or could she just insert a democrat? If it’s the later then Trump needs to pick someone else and leave congress alone.

Here in GA, you show your DL, and in the barcode show if you are a citizen or not. When my wife became a citizen, she took her citizenship certificate to the DMV, we were done in less than 10 min. It’s not complicated and/or hard to do. No excuse for not having an ID in today’s world.

I don’t belief the issue of women serving in a combat role or not. The issue I see is that some women want to be equal to men. However, when it comes to the military standards men & women have different physical standards. If they want to be treated as equal, then they should be held to the same standards as men do. That is when they want to be different. Oh, and I’ve served with women who were stronger than some men.

After the leaked Senate vote yesterday I am kind of surprised that Polymarket has Scott so high. (Most recent number is now down to 53 but I can't copy) Neither of my Senators are for Scott. I still called their office to push Scott last week.

Perhaps the betting market thinks Trump controls the hammer by installing Vance as last resort.

It is good to see the Senate go to 53 which nullifies Murkowski and Collins from stalling or putting a crimp in execution of policy.
