I'm no fan of big Pharma or the U.S healthcare system. It's greed driven.
I support capitalism and a fair profit, but the healthcare & pharmaceuticals cost has gotten ridiculous.
I forgot what company it was, but that new CEO that took over one of the big Pharma's immediately quadrupled the price on EpiPen's, causing a big outcry.
I can go to Thailand and get world class healthcare for a small fraction of the cost here. I know a few guys that have done it.

My wife and I would like to move back to the states at some point, but the healthcare system ruins that idea from every happening.
We had 0 rats given about the ceo guy getting killed and can totally see why it happened.
As for Thailand - I know people who’ve had full sets of teeth implants done over there for a crazy small % of the cost it would be here in Aus. And the work was good.

This same dilemma exists in the college and university education system. Instead of driving down costs. They grant ever increasing scale loans to cover incompetent or political hack professors (Tort reform for medical).



When politicians discuss the high cost. It usually revolves around what doctors charge. Not factored in is the 12 years in education and fellowships. Malpractice insurance costs.


The answer from government is to mandate coverage and subsidize the mess. Notice how liberals want to cap what a doctor can make. But never discuss capping professors or university staff pay.

There are many ways to cut healthcare costs. Driving away the best and brightest is not the place to do it. I prefer to have someone competent wrenching on me.

College fees are nuts in America, and a bachelor is 4 years? Wtf! 3 here in Aus, every bachelor course I looked at in America the first year of that 4 years was unrelated crap that’s just there to milk more money.
And why the heck does every job need a degree these days?

Even worst than the fees is what they put in heads of these students, (on average). They enroll cause thats what you do and then its frat party's orgies, woke nonsense, agnostic views, atheist, and CHINESE. Not shouting, just accentuating .

First, the left truly believes THEY are the smart ones, and the flyover states are the local yokels. If the Democrats have any hope of a future they need to distance themselves from this filth. My original question, and I am still not sure of an answer, are they all this way? And who is driving this, or is it just 'they are who they are'?
