In 7th grade shop class, one of which was printing (setting type), there was a group of “tough” guys, led by “Bob”. The teacher wasn’t a real big guy, but was barrel chested with big arms. One day Bob and his group were talking. The teacher told them to stop, but they didn’t. The teacher had Bob bend over a shop stool. One swat. When Bob stood up, you could tell he was doing everything in his power to hold back the tears. Never another issue in that class.

OK, this is getting too far off the beaten path, but...

You mentioned shop class. During our shop class, one of the gals who was a cheerleader picked up the attendance slip. She was HOT, and we'd all stare out the windows as she walked up. One particular day, one of my classmates was a little too absorbed, and was brought back to reality by our shop teacher yelling at him "Bobbit! Turn around and pay attention! You wouldn't know a good piece of ass if it came up and bit you on the leg!"

I apologize for the digression; your post about shop class brought up that memory.
