I thought Ukraine was holding Russia at a stalemate. How exactly is Russia taking over Europe?
Shhhh. You are ruining the ukebros narrative and fear mongering.

The US-led coalition demanded unconditional surrender of the Iraqi regime in the second Gulf War.

Not true—it was the unconditional surrender of the Iraqi ARMY.

This is being way overblown. The minerals deal will be signed and then the rest of the serious negotiations begin with Putin. Personally I feel a lot safer in the world where leaders are open and transparent, warts and all. They said what they truly felt and meant, so you work from there.

Well said.
I was just talking with my 19 YO this evening.
He also brought up Oliver Cromwell as a comparison to Trump. Warts and all indeed.

For those of you not familiar with a very important cultural enhancing song, I give you, Monty Python:

When trump gets done extorting mineral rights out of Ukraine perhaps he should try for Afghanistans after all the U.S. “donated” a large amount of military equipment there recently.

They can keep the hummers and the apaches…

I just want all the lapis… and maybe a cut of the opium…

:D

Did Democratic republic of Congo really offer us a share of their rare earth and if we would help them get the Ruwanda rebels out of their country?

Not only military equipment. I no longer remember why there was an economic war, and Western companies left Russia (because of this, I drive a Chinese jeep). And in particular, we lost Coca. Briefly, Asian fruit traders soon began shipping Coca from the "Islamic Emirate of Afghanistan." I should have saved a couple of jars for memory. I'm afraid we'll have to pay for these supplies if Trump pushes through with his deal.

Insane numbers of illegals in Britain.

"Last year, we gave British citizenship to another 269,000 people, which is 30% higher than 2023 and the largest number since records began, in 2005.

Of those who were made British citizens, 209,000 came from outside Europe —with the largest numbers coming from India, Pakistan, and Nigeria.

Of the 148,000 people who arrived illegally on the small boats between 2018 and December 2024, 140,000 of them claimed asylum and more than half of those, 55%, were given an initial decision.

And of those, 67% were allowed to stay.

Senior civil servants have now conceded that the state will continue to house asylum-seekers in hotels for the next four years, at a considerable cost to British taxpayers.

Yesterday, we learned that 40,000 illegal migrants and asylum-seekers were being housed in hotels at the end of last year —an increase of nearly 30% on the month before the 2024 election, when Labour took office.

So, overall, what does this mean?

It means that last year Britain issued another 900,000 visas to people who coming to work, study, or join family members, while also receiving more asylum applications than at any other point in recent history and approving large numbers of them.

It means there is no evidence whatsoever that the small boats crisis is being resolved, or that the Labour government is fixing our broken borders."

"Islamophobia’, we’re told, ‘is rooted in racism and is a type of racism that targets expressions of Muslimness or perceived Muslimness’. But what does this even mean?

What counts as targeting ‘expressions of Muslimness or perceived Muslimness’? Anything that will be perceived as ‘Islamophobic’ by Muslims and their self-selected representatives — that’s what.

Examples of Islamophobia, we’re told, include ‘making mendacious, dehumanizing, demonizing, or stereotypical allegations about Muslims as such, or of Muslims as a collective group, such as, especially but not exclusively, conspiracies about Muslim entryism in politics, government, or other societal institutions’.

What happens, then, if the British people want to debate the fact, supported by rigorous surveys, that nearly one-third of British Muslims think the implementation of Sharia law in Britain over the next twenty years is ‘desirable’, or that nearly 40% of all British Muslims and nearly half of all young Muslims in this country think the formation of a political party for Muslims would be desirable? Would this be considered ‘Islamophobic’, an attack on ‘perceived Muslimness’?

And if ‘conspiracies about Muslim entryism in politics’ is ‘Islamophobic’ then what happens if, say, somebody wants to highlight the fact there are already highly organised and well-resourced activist groups in Britain telling four million Muslims how to vote at national elections and what to demand politically? If we want to debate this obvious sectarianism in our politics would this be considered ‘Islamophobic’, too?

And if ‘conspiracies about Muslim entryism’ into our national political life, laws, and institutions are included in this remarkably vague definition then what are we to do with the finding that while only 16% of British people think it should be illegal to show a picture or cartoon of Mohammed, more than half of all Muslims think it should? Would defending our existing laws be seen as an attack on ‘perceived Muslimness’, would standing up for the Batley school teacher be ‘Islamophobic’?"

He is a very brave and determined man. Such people are now very much needed on the front line against Russia.
He has spent quite a bit of time there among his troops - unlike the little KGB thug hiding in the Kremlin.

aaaaaaaaaaaaaaaand he's done.

If I were Zelensky, I would be seriously thinking about a plan B or plan C right about now.

The next 72 hours I think will be very telling. Im curious to see if any other prominent R’s that have previously backed the idea of continued support for Ukraine will begin to pivot…

There’s also a member of the Ukrainian parliament now calling for Zelenskyy’s impeachment although I get the impression he isn’t an influential member of their government (I honestly don’t know anything about him though other than what I’ve garnered in very limited references in English printed news)…

I wouldn’t count him out just yet. The UA turned the Russian army on its ass
Before any US aid got there. These folks are fighters and they’re pissed.

I wish Trump would leave this negotiation to Rubio. He actually acts like an adult. Vance went way down in my estimation today.

Kellogg negotiated the minerals deal apx. three weeks ago. Bessent goes over to get it signed and Zelensky reneges on the deal.

Kellogg gets the deal back on track. I would bet Rubio was heavily involved. He definitely knew it was all agreed to before letting Zelensky into the White House. A Ukrainian MP said it was all agreed to. Zelensky comes to the White House and pushed other demands.

I saw you were looking for some Swift A-Frames for your 9.3. I just bought a bulk supply of them in the 285g. version. If Toby's are gone, I could let 100 go for $200 shipped you are interested.
Thanks,
Gary
