Not only military equipment. I no longer remember why there was an economic war, and Western companies left Russia (because of this, I drive a Chinese jeep). And in particular, we lost Coca. Briefly, Asian fruit traders soon began shipping Coca from the "Islamic Emirate of Afghanistan." I should have saved a couple of jars for memory. I'm afraid we'll have to pay for these supplies if Trump pushes through with his deal.

"Last year, we gave British citizenship to another 269,000 people, which is 30% higher than 2023 and the largest number since records began, in 2005.
Of those who were made British citizens, 209,000 came from outside Europe —with the largest numbers coming from India, Pakistan, and Nigeria.
Of the 148,000 people who arrived illegally on the small boats between 2018 and December 2024, 140,000 of them claimed asylum and more than half of those, 55%, were given an initial decision.
And of those, 67% were allowed to stay.
Senior civil servants have now conceded that the state will continue to house asylum-seekers in hotels for the next four years, at a considerable cost to British taxpayers.
Yesterday, we learned that 40,000 illegal migrants and asylum-seekers were being housed in hotels at the end of last year —an increase of nearly 30% on the month before the 2024 election, when Labour took office.
So, overall, what does this mean?
It means that last year Britain issued another 900,000 visas to people who coming to work, study, or join family members, while also receiving more asylum applications than at any other point in recent history and approving large numbers of them.
It means there is no evidence whatsoever that the small boats crisis is being resolved, or that the Labour government is fixing our broken borders."

And if ‘conspiracies about Muslim entryism’ into our national political life, laws, and institutions are included in this remarkably vague definition then what are we to do with the finding that while only 16% of British people think it should be illegal to show a picture or cartoon of Mohammed, more than half of all Muslims think it should? Would defending our existing laws be seen as an attack on ‘perceived Muslimness’, would standing up for the Batley school teacher be ‘Islamophobic’?"

The next 72 hours I think will be very telling. Im curious to see if any other prominent R’s that have previously backed the idea of continued support for Ukraine will begin to pivot…
There’s also a member of the Ukrainian parliament now calling for Zelenskyy’s impeachment although I get the impression he isn’t an influential member of their government (I honestly don’t know anything about him though other than what I’ve garnered in very limited references in English printed news)…

Kellogg negotiated the minerals deal apx. three weeks ago. Bessent goes over to get it signed and Zelensky reneges on the deal.
Kellogg gets the deal back on track. I would bet Rubio was heavily involved. He definitely knew it was all agreed to before letting Zelensky into the White House. A Ukrainian MP said it was all agreed to. Zelensky comes to the White House and pushed other demands.
