it’s only a problem when it’s the opposing views process though, isn’t it
That would depend on what the opposing view is...for example a communist working out a set of dialectic principles deserves no standing as an equal.

Seems like the right is an actual enemy of the left. I don't believe we'll ever see both parties working for the good of the country and people. It's all about them and their party. :(

Doesn’t going through a jury trial count as due process? How were they denied due process?

I posted a link to an article a few pages back that stated the many examples of how due process was being denied on a wholesale level to the J-6 detainees... There are dozens of articles and books all over the internet documenting these egregious violations if you actually care to research in detail...

The quick summary is that going through a jury trial alone is not the entire scheme of due process... The entirety of the 1,583 defendants arrested in relation to J-6 had been held without bail. This included the vast majority who were eventually charged with simple misdemeanors which is unheard of...

Each State or District sets their own due process timeline which can range from 24-48 hours for a bail hearing and 10-20 days for an arraignment... Trials are generally set to commence within 60-100 days from the arraignments. The vast majority of those arrested were denied bail altogether, and arraignments and trials ranged from many months to years for most cases...

They were also denied their right to confer with legal counsel, timely arraignments, hearings, and a speedy trial after the arraignments eventually took place... They were also denied the right to review evidence against them and as we now have learned the evidence which was suppressed and withheld by the J-6 committee... As of January 5, 2025, 500 cases were still pending and undecided, and of those 500, 170 detainees were still awaiting trial 4 years later...

Additionally, detainees were kept in 23-hour solitary confinement in filthy cells with poor food and no opportunity to bathe. They were also denied their rights to family visitations.

Thanks to the america hating ACLU, the Supreme Court has blocked Trump from deporting the detained Venezuelans in northern Texas under the alien enemies act.
Thomas and Alito took the low road and dissented.

Every politician, federal employee, law enforcement personnel, responsible for the horrific treatment of these J6'ers, and the violation of their rights, needs to be rounded up and given the same treatment. Eye for an eye.

The US ( Trump ) adminstration determined him a criminal even though a judge within his power provided him protected status in a US court and he has no criminal convictions. Thinking someone is guilty of a crime has never in itself been sufficent to imprison some one. If someone thinks you are guilty and that is enough to be imprisoned then we should all be getting nervous.

As far as supporting him he was providing a service and making a living he did not need to be supported.

This goes back to the rights for foreigners debate as always.

If someone is a guest in this country, we should have the right to deport for ANY reason, not even suspicion of illegal behavior. That would cover the H1B worker and the student visa holder.

But this El Salvadoran? He doesn’t even need to meet that bar. He IS a criminal because he A.) Unlawfully entered, B.) Committed crimes while here too. Get him the F’ out. Pretty simple.

It’s just the opposite of the left’s assertion. We’re not eroding rights, we’re elevating them. Any US citizen can say anything they want under the 1st amendment. They have a right to a trial, to face accusers in court, a presumption of innocence. That’s the elevated status of citizens. Citizens are subject to draft, etc. When we give every illegal thug pseudo citizenship we cheapen the value of being here legally.

Do you really want to live in a society where we are importing people that wish to undermine our country, coordinate protests against US interests, and undermine the spirit of our immigration policies? We won’t last long under this rubric.

In my last post describing how due process was denied to J-6 detainees in addition to the horrible sub-human confinement and living conditions they were also subjected to, you responded with a laughing emoji?

What exactly is so funny? Seriously man, WTF is wrong with you?

I'll be sure to let you know if I survive the hunt with my dreaded can making my barrel an extra 3" over factory length.

I think the anti-suppressor case is more of aesthetics and fashion rather than practical function.

Exactly. Several on here are of same brainwashed thought process and obviously get their news from MSNBC, CNN, etc.

I find you thinking it's OK to attack our capital and you finding excuses why you think it's OK. The election was never stolen and no court cases ever proved it was stolen. You are so far up Trumps rear you will support him regardless of what he does even if he decides to go against SCOTUS. So what's wrong with you. I am done with discussion.

I hate to break it to you, but you were done with the "discussion" after your first couple of posts...

This was about due process, and you made it about Trump and now the stolen election... I never said a word about either of those topics... You are indeed a poster boy for TDS...

Some here think you are a troll... If you are indeed attempting to troll, you are not very good at it... Trolls are blatantly provocative and emotionally unattached from their hyperbolic posts. You seem to be genuinely and sincerely misguided and troubled... I'm glad to hear you are done, because you have nothing sensible to contribute...

trperk1, I bought the Kimber Caprivi 375 back in an earlier post. You attached a target with an impressive three rounds touching 100 yards. I took the 2x10 VX5 off and put a VX6 HD Gen 2 1x6x24 Duplex Firedot on the rifle. It's definitely a shooter curious what loads you used for the group. Loving this rifle so fun to shoot. Africa 2026 Mozambique. Buff and PG. Any info appreciated.
Ready for the hunt with HTK Safaris
