My wife and I are going on safari #2 on March 9th. SA, Limpopo right next to Botswana. My wife asked to tag on a 3 day trip to Victoria Falls and Chobe Lodge through our outfitter. I'm sure it will be fun. It is all inclusive through our outfitter's package but I'd like to know others experiences on what to expect ? I'd like to be prepared.

Last trip I brought 2K in cash. I spent $200, all on tips (other than our PH and staff) Should I bring more for activities and such at Victoria Falls ? Our trip is all inclusive except for drinks. I'm used to cash, but that is becoming obsolete. Can a guy buy a beer and tip a server with cash, or is a card necessary ?

I'm not a world traveler. I was surprised at how little cash is needed and credit cards are the way to pay for things. That said. A $20 US bill to the guy who carries your bag is appreciated, or often expected.

I'd appreciate any advice from my friends here on a 3 day trip to Victoria Falls. Thank you everyone.

You will use US Dollars in VF and the ATM’s there dispense USD. Most tourist places take credit cards. Be prepared to pay in cash at the VF Park. There credit cards machine did not want to take any of my cards, everywhere else did.

Everywhere we went around the falls I used a card with no problem. While you're there you might want to make a side trip to Chobe National Park. The park animals are wild, but pretty docile. You can get some good pictures that you can't get in a hunting area.

Was there May 2018. I used a credit card for all our excursions and cash for tips and incidentals. We did a helicopter tour, zip line, elephant ride, walk with the lions and an amazing dinner show while we were there. However the best was a sunset river cruise above the falls, the sunset was spectacular!

Morning Rob, Any feeling for how the 300 H&H shoots? How's the barrel condition?

Hello. I see you hunted with Sampie recently. If you don't mind me asking, where did you hunt with him? Zim or SA? And was it with a bow? What did you hunt?

I am possibly going to book with him soon.
Currently doing a load development on a .404 Jeffrey... it's always surprising to load .423 caliber bullets into a .404 caliber rifle. But we love it when we get 400 Gr North Fork SS bullets to 2300 FPS, those should hammer down on buffalo. Next up are the Cutting Edge solids and then Raptors... load 200 rounds of ammo for the customer and on to the next gun!
