SOUTH AFRICA: First Safari In The Kalahari

Glad you enjoyed your hunt and thanks for sharing with us.

.416 and Kalahari dont usually go hand in hand unless you are after buffalo. You made it work it seems.

Congratulations to an amazing hunt and thanks a lot for sharing with us! I truly enjoyed your writing :) well done!

Absolutly a wonderful experience you have had.

Saving up for a 2nd time??...
Absolutely, trying to decide whether to go for Elephant or Buffalo next.

I also would definitely like to go back to De Klerk Safaris for some of the other plains game. Lots of Kudu and Eland that were enticing (almost as much as that roan :giggle:). Also, the Kalahari is my kind of place.

Beautiful safari, and beautiful report. Thank you for taking us along, it brought memories of my stay there. There is something magical about the Kalahari, the sunsets and sunrises are flat out beautiful, it is a beautiful place. Let me know when you are planning on going back, I'd like to go back and hunt some PG, maybe we can go at the same time. I'll bring enough cigars for the two of us. :ROFLMAO: :ROFLMAO:

Thank you for sharing your hunt. The kalahari is a special enviorment and the sand stays with you in your memory. Now it is time to get plans for a nice buff or the spotted cat.

Great hunt and great report! Thanks for sharing. The Kalahari is certainly a special place.

only 3 weeks of my first safari and your story took me in the future to what will be my first hunt in the kalahari

Well, in that case, let's invite @degoins too, I don't want him to feel left out of this gaggle. My question is, if Hans can handle us all. LMAO!!!!! :ROFLMAO: :ROFLMAO:

Awesome adventure! Thanks for sharing!

Well done @BourbonTrail , and well written !

Your story has brough back memories of a lioness hunt near Tosca and a lion hunt near Mafikeng, not my hunts, I just went along with friends.

The Kalahari is really a magical place !

Nice report, thanks for sharing.

Magnificent trip, and some very nice trophies! Amazing sunset in the beautiful Kalahari landscape.

Well done, sir!

Thanks Brent. Sometime when I am back in Tucson we’ll have to meet up for a cigar.

Hi Jay,

Hope you're well.

I'm headed your way in January.

Attending SHOT Show has been a long time bucket list item for me.

Finally made it happen and I'm headed to Vegas.

I know you're some distance from Vegas - but would be keen to catch up if it works out.

Have a good one.

Mark
