So, lets see how this turns out!
'would've never seen the light of day...Was it fried chicken?
Safe hunting
Q: What's a Zorilla?? I had to check out their website. Hunter apparently scheduled the Regular safari, not a Premium (lol per their list).
My wife asked for salad with no meat. She got a salad with chicken on it. She looked at it said "I asked for no meat!"
The camp Butler looked at her, looked at the salad, looked back at her and said "but madam that is not meat, that is chicken."
I had to side side with the Butler, chicken is most definitely not meat!
@Just Gina had to laugh also
Lol. They were trying to make the point that they do not consider chicken as meat. @ActionBob says, “chicken ain’t meat!” LolWhat sort of cold meat salad has no meat?
Sorry Just Gina but that completes the meal. Unless salad is on the side of the main meal that would be good like steak, chicken , lasagne or BBQ meat. (Brain)
No issues with my outfitter on meals or food on my only safari. I'm pretty sure the outfitter took note of any email conversation shared before travel .
@Just Gina, of course chicken is not meat.
I drink red wine with meat, white wine with fish and chicken

I feel the Same , I would forgo the camp luxury for a chance to hunt Tanzania , an old school safari with 1/2 caned food 1/2 living on the land and no premium cost . Sounds wonderful!During my ship snd offshore service days, which are still ongoing, i had all kinds of international cooks, and all kinds of meal quality. From average to both extremes of quality.
I never complained.
If i would be hunting tanzania, in the bush, slept in the tent, i would think on other priorities.
Heck, give me discount, that i can pay for tanzanian safari, and tell me i will eat corned canned beef, in a tent, i would go to tanzania asap. Beer is nice, but i would accept in these circumstences, plain water for entire duration of safari.
Luxury is home, safari is hunting.
Thats my point.
OK Gina, really - food allergies & a requirement for “fresh veggies” daily? now kidding you a bit: hope that didn’t pull your PH too much off his game LOOKING FOR GAME... PH pulling the tracker off a “fresh track” (trophy Lion, etc.) to toss his clients midday salad - that could be a problem, maybe worse then running out of Caesar dressing!! But you must’ve been in a 1st rate outfit and been well cared for. My Safari was the best service I’ve ever seen and exceeded any hotel or vacation I’ve ever been on...there might of even been salad — don’t rememberLol. They were trying to make the point that they do not consider chicken as meat. @ActionBob says, “chicken ain’t meat!” Lol
The food was great. I have a lot of food allergies and do eat any animal protein at all when hunting or traveling. They had fresh veggies every day for me as asked and that was the only issue was when they made me some sort of bird for a meal. But I just didn’t eat it so it was not a big deal.
And here I thought they were offering some sort of silverback subspeciesA. Skunk
