Tattoos... advice from those so adorned

Colouring in, is that the new thing? Haven’t tried that in bed.
Might explain why tattoos are so popular now.
It does seem a very high percentage of the younger generation have visible tattoos and it the odd one out who doesn’t. Their friends all have them so they do too.
There was a young lady serving in a pub at Bowral who had cartoon characters with a background of pastel colours forming a sleeve. It one of the most feminine and well done that I have seen on a girl. Other than she was quite the looker there was some thought put into it.

@Flipper Dude
I have a couple of tats that were done years ago.
Nowadays a lot of young girls are getting tattooed everywhere they can. They are usually just black and white outlines with no colouring. To me they just don't look right with no colour.
If'n y'all went to bed with them you wouldn't know wether to make love to them or get you crayons out and colour them in if'n you got bored.
I like tattoos but to me they have to have meaning and be special to a person not tattoos for tattoos sake just to try and look cool or tough.

I'll just say...the girls with tats I have known. You need not worry about being bored.

Back when I was a young fella, fashionable was long hair, bell bottoms, facial hair, and oversize tinted glasses.

Sure glad I'm not stuck wearing that stuff today. Well ... I wish I was still stuck with some of the hair. :D

That’s the real challenge, deciding what you’ll wear proudly the rest of your life.

I have a tattoo of a panda my daughter chose on the left side of my chest near my heart. She got exactly the same in the small of her back.
Matching father daughter tattoos is special to me. I wear it with great pride for her.

I have a sleeve done. It was during my heavy Harley days. I don’t regret anything. Make sure you go to a well known place with a ton of positive feedback. A bad tattoo is worse than a bad women, it’s a lot more work to get rid of it.
@revturbo9967
Getting rid of a bad tattoo is cheaper than getting rid of a bad woman tho.

Mine is almost 10 years old. I always wanted a tattoo, but never got one as I didn’t have anything meaningful to make forever part of my body.

On January 1, 2015 my 5 year old son passed away due to medical complications he suffered since birth. A couple months later my wife and I got tattoos to honor him.

The bear has a couple meanings. First, he was tough. God he was tough. And he was tender with his baby sister. Not a whole lot of things tougher than a grizzly bear. Second, our family of four has the first name initials of B, E, R, R. Bear.

We got ours on a trip. My wife researched and researched tattoo parlors. And we had our appointment scheduled and our tattoo wants to the artist well ahead of time.

Mine can be covered as it’s on my forearm. But I don’t really give a damn. I’m proud of my son. I’m proud to talk about him.

My wife also got a bear and his name on hit wrist. She works for a hospital and for a while they “made” her cover it (didn’t really enforce it). And eventually they relaxed their tattoo policy

@bakerb
Sorry to here about your son. Sounds like a real champion.
I can't think of a nicer way to honour him by both your wife and yourself. He lives in in your hearts and memories and help talk about him with fondness so others can understand and some hopefully comforted because they know they are not the only ones.

Gee, I always thought pirates were sailors. They sail the seas right? The classic "pirate look" also includes face jewelry, shaved head, ear rings, goatee, man bun, etc. Not for me.
@Ontario Hunter
And here's me thinking you were describing a 6.5 creedmore owner.

Whenever I considered getting a Tattoo my thoughts were:
1). What would my kids think?
2). Will it make my Mother “proud”?
3). How will it look when I’m 80 ?
So - no ink for Me….

Military Officers don’t get tattoos :cool::LOL:
They do now.
I think the GWOT changed a lot of norms.

Since you have an affinity for Warthogs. Look for an artist that can do Polynesian or Samoan
“Tatau “ work.
They use a tool called an Au. It’s made from boars tusks.

When my wife an I went to Bora Bora for our honeymoon we saw them doing this in tattoo shop the next island over in Huahine. The guy had turned ash white. Had a manta ray being done. They stopped when we came in looked bloody grime but what a way to get one done.

My wife has a tattoo of a pterodactyl on her boob. It used to be a butterfly. I'll show myself out.
@Milo
I knew a lady that had a rose tattooed rose on her boob. As she aged it became a long steamed rose due to in inevitable boob sag

Speaking of boobs.
Doctor: "What brings you to the clinic today?"
Granny: "I found a lump in my breast."
Doctor: "Let's have a look. Hmmm. Not to worry. It's only your kneecap."

@Bob Nelson 35Whelen - Bob are you SURE? Have you tried wearing your “reading glasses” to make sure that rose is not a really a “nipple”
@HankBuck
Her nipples were nice but not that big
The rose bud was at the top of her boob with the stem extending dow around her nipple
As she aged and things went south the stem got longer but the rose stayed the same.
The funniest one I came across was in a nice you lady that had " caution slippery when wet with an an arrow pointing down. It was just below her bikini line so wasn't visible to the general public.
Being a lot younger back then I thought it was quiet funny.
She's now my age so may have had it changed to caution dusty road.

Husband and wife having breakfast one morning.
Wife says to husband
You know dear today we have been married 50 years and I still get that same warm feeling in my chest as when we first met.
Husband lowers his newspaper and looks at his wife and replies
Maybe if you took your left boob out of your cup of tea you wouldn't feel like that

Reza Call me any time you want to talk about Elephant. hunting and CMS.
I've hunted two Elephant with CMS.
In 13 African safari's and an equal number of North American hunts, BUZZ is the best guide I have ever hunted with.
