AH legend
Local museum near where I bird hunt in Montana is looking to acquire a polar bear full body mount and a couple of seals. Obtaining the seals shouldn't be a problem but they obviously want to find the bear first.
I'll ask.Would they settle for a reproduction polar bear? Looks like the real thing.
f so that is ridiculous. Similar restrictions apply to various things worldwide but it seems ridiculous.Kanati does the replicas but they aren't cheap

I'm no expert on the subject so please DON'T TAKE THIS AS LEGAL ADVICE, but to possess a PB in the US, you'd have to find one in Montana (in state sales only) and it would have to be a pre-ban bear. Those are both tall orders I think.
That does not apply to Museums. Take the Smithsonian for example. Don't think there was ever a Lion in Washington DC.Kanati does the replicas but they aren't cheap

Unfortunately, NO ! I know of 3-4 taxidermy FB pages that are having issues, and despite overwhelming evidence, FB apparently says there is nothing they can do to stop it or even cease the imposter from continuing with a known copycat profile.Dang, is nothing safe from those bastages?
